The Coaching Manual is proud to form a partnership with Avro FC that will support volunteer soccer coaches as part of the club’s ambitious future plans.
The club is comprised of 17 teams from Under 7s and girls teams, up to their open-age first team, which plays in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division. They are based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK.
As well as providing full access to the world’s leading digital coaching platform, coaches from The Coaching Manual will make monthly, in-person visits to view Avro FC coaching sessions, provide feedback to coaches and to present workshops and on-field sessions and ideas for the benefit of all coaches.
The Coaching Manual founder Chris Barton said: “We’re delighted to work with Avro FC, who are an ambitious club that are striving to move forward by empowering their coaches. In recent years, Avro have moved to a new stadium and been promoted higher than they’ve ever been before, and we’re proud to be part of their continued success in the future.”
The Coaching Manual have also agreed to send specifically-curated weekly session plans, and offer support to coaches if they have any questions.
Avro FC Chairman Robert Fuller said: “We have embarked on this partnership with The Coaching Manual in order to support our volunteer coaches, providing them access to tools and resources that will help them to deliver professional-standard training sessions to their players. Partnering with The Coaching Manual will boost the coaching journey for all within our club, helping our volunteers to learn and develop, while ultimately benefiting players of all ages.
“We are a forward-thinking club, and partnering with The Coaching Manual can only enhance our players' experience.”

Avro FC is named after Alliott Verdon Roe and his aviation manufacturer company Avro - producers of the famous ‘Dambusters’ aircraft - who in 1936 purchased land in Chadderton, Manchester, occupied by the hitherto-named Lancaster Club.
The move to The Vestacare Stadium in 2017 allowed Avro to pursue its ambitions of Step 6 football, which was achieved in 2018 with promotion to the NWCFL Division 1 North. The following season, the club reached the semi-final of the Macron Cup, and the final of the First Division Cup, as well as reaching the 3rd Round Proper of the FA Vase.
