We have previewed some of its findings over the last couple of weeks, but the TCM Parent Report 2022 is finally here.

Often under-appreciated as stakeholders in our clubs and teams, the parents of our players should be in the forefront of our thinking when it comes to managing the way we, as coaches, perform our roles.

This report presents the results of a survey of more than 20,000 parents, in which The Coaching Manual asked them about their relationship with their child’s club, their child’s happiness, whether or not they are equipped to support their child off the training field, etc.

• What causes players to be unhappy?
• Are parents satisfied with the way their club communicates with them?
• To what extent do parents understand their child's sport?
• How can we help parents to support their children off the field?
• And do children prefer Messi or Ronaldo?
